These terms of sale are the contract between you and ECOMMERCE STORE LTD (trading as ALIGC) when you buy from aligc.com. Please read them with our returns policy, delivery policy, price promise and privacy notice — they form part of this contract.

1. About these terms

By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18, that you are a consumer buying for personal use, and that you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not complete checkout.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to an order is the version published on this page when you pay. We keep a dated copy of each version.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, or equivalent EU consumer law if you shop from the EU.

2. Who you are contracting with

The seller is ECOMMERCE STORE LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 16873650), registered office 14 Bramley Gardens, Herne Bay, Kent, CT6 7DS, United Kingdom. ALIGC and aligc.com are trading names of that company.

3. Accounts

You can browse without an account. To place an order you need an email address and a bound payment method. Creating an account lets you track orders, save a wishlist, start a return and store a card token for faster checkout.

You must give accurate details and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for orders placed while signed in, unless you have told us that the account was used without your permission. We may suspend an account that is used for fraud, abuse of returns, or scraping of prices.

4. Orders

When you submit an order you make an offer to buy the items in your bag at the prices shown. We accept that offer when we send the order-confirmation email. Until then we may decline an order — for example if an item is out of stock, if a price was obviously wrong, or if a payment does not authorise.

If we cannot fulfil all of an order we will refund the unavailable lines in full and ship the rest, unless you ask us to cancel the whole order.

Order numbers appear in your account and in the confirmation email. Use that number on the track order page or when you write to support.

5. Prices and VAT

Prices on product pages include VAT where VAT is due, unless we say otherwise. Delivery charges are shown before you pay. Coupons and deal prices apply only while they are displayed and may have a minimum spend or category limit.

Local Price Radar shows a benchmark from shops in your city. It is a comparison tool, not a third-party offer to sell. See the price promise for how a claim works.

If we discover a genuine pricing error after you order, we will contact you before dispatch. You may then confirm the corrected price or cancel for a full refund. We are not obliged to honour a price that is clearly a system error (for example €1.00 for a product that usually sells for €199).

6. Payment

We accept the cards shown at checkout and, where offered, Klarna or similar instalment methods. Payment is taken when we accept the order, unless an instalment provider bills you on their own schedule.

Checkout requires a bound card or an equivalent authorised method so we can refund to the original payment route. Guest checkout starts with your email, then card binding.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method. Failed, charged-back or fraudulent payments may lead to cancellation and account review.

7. Delivery

Delivery times, cut-offs, charges and what to do if a parcel is missing are set out in the delivery policy. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address or pickup point you chose. Title passes when we receive payment in full.

You must provide an address that a carrier can serve. Extra costs caused by an incomplete or incorrect address (redelivery, return to warehouse) may be charged to you unless the mistake was ours.

8. Returns and cancellations

Our store policy is 7-day free returns on most unused items, with a prepaid label and no restocking fee. UK and EU distance-selling law also gives you a statutory cancellation right, which is usually 14 days from delivery for most goods. The longer of the two periods applies. Full rules, exceptions (for example sealed hygiene products once opened) and refund timing are in the returns and refunds policy.

Faulty, misdescribed or damaged goods are handled under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (or the equivalent in your country). You do not need to use the 7-day window for a legal fault.

9. Price promise

If you find the same product cheaper from a qualifying local retailer within 25 km and 14 days of purchase, we refund the difference to your original payment method and match it with a voucher, as described on the price promise page. The promise does not apply to marketplace flash errors, membership-club prices, or goods that are not identical.

10. Product information

We work to keep titles, photos, specifications and stock accurate. Colours may vary slightly between a screen and the item in hand. Accessory compatibility (for example phone cases or printer ink) is described on the product page — please check it before you buy.

Where we sell a branded product we are a retailer, not the manufacturer. Manufacturer warranties, if any, sit alongside your statutory rights and are explained on the product page or in the box.

11. Acceptable use of the website

You may use aligc.com to browse and buy as a consumer. You must not:

  • scrape, harvest or bulk-download prices, images or personal data;
  • attempt to access other customers’ accounts or our admin tools;
  • introduce malware or overload the service;
  • use the store to resell goods as a business without a seller agreement.

We may block an IP address or account that breaks these rules.

12. Intellectual property

ALIGC, the wordmark, Local Price Radar and the layout of aligc.com are owned by ECOMMERCE STORE LTD or our licensors. Product photos and brand names remain the property of their owners. You may not copy the catalogue for a competing store.

13. Liability

We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or our negligence. We are not responsible for:

  • loss that was not foreseeable when you ordered;
  • business losses, because these terms are for consumers;
  • delays caused by the carrier after a parcel has been correctly handed over, except where the law says otherwise;
  • content on third-party websites linked from ALIGC.

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that English law does not allow us to exclude. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

14. Events beyond our control

If a warehouse closure, carrier strike, extreme weather, cyber-attack or other event outside our reasonable control delays us, we will keep you updated and complete the order as soon as we reasonably can, or refund you if you prefer to cancel.

15. Complaints

Write to support@aligc.com with your order number. Sophie Williams’ customer-support team aims to send a first reply within one working day (our current average first reply is 42 minutes). If we cannot agree, UK consumers may use the EU ODR platform while it remains available, or seek advice from Citizens Advice. You may also bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring a claim there. EU consumers may also sue in their home courts.

16. Other important terms

  • We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation (for example a group reorganisation). We will tell you if that happens and it will not affect your rights.
  • You may not transfer your order to someone else without our consent, except that you may give a purchased item as a gift.
  • If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • If we do not enforce a right, we can still enforce it later.
  • These terms are between you and us. No other person has a right to enforce them, except that a gift recipient has the same statutory quality rights as you.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland, Northern Ireland or another country, you also keep any mandatory protections of that country’s consumer law.
