ALIGC returns are handled by ECOMMERCE STORE LTD. Most unused items can come back free of charge. You never pay a restocking fee. A prepaid label is included in the parcel, and we refund the original payment method within 48 hours of the return arriving at the warehouse.
1. Overview
You have two overlapping rights:
- ALIGC 7-day returns — our own promise. No reason needed. Prepaid label. No restocking fee. Starts the day you receive the goods.
- Statutory cancellation — under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (and EU distance-selling rules if you shop from the EU), most goods bought online can be cancelled within 14 days of delivery, plus the time needed to send them back.
We always apply the period that is better for you. If an item is faulty or not as described, use the faulty-goods process instead — those rights last much longer than 7 or 14 days.
2. The 7-day ALIGC return
Tell us you want to return an item within 7 days of delivery. You can do that in your account (Orders → Return) or by emailing support@aligc.com with the order number and the lines you are sending back.
You do not have to give a reason. Common reasons we see are size, colour in daylight, duplicate gift, or “changed my mind”. All of those are fine.
Once we have the return logged we email a confirmation. Keep the prepaid label from the box, or ask us for a new one if it is missing. You then have 14 days to drop the parcel at a carrier point or book a free pickup where we offer one.
3. Your 14-day cancellation right
For most goods sold at a distance, UK law gives you 14 days after delivery to change your mind, then a further 14 days to send the goods back. We do not wait for you to use a special form: an email or an account return is enough. If you cancel under this right we refund the product price and the standard outbound delivery charge. Express upgrades are not refunded unless the whole order is cancelled before dispatch.
The statutory right does not apply to every product. See exceptions below. Where it does apply, we will not argue about the 7-day store window — you still have the legal 14 days.
4. How to start a return
- Sign in and open the order, or write to support with the order number.
- Choose the items and quantities. Mixed orders can be partly returned.
- Print or show the prepaid label (it is also in the original box).
- Pack the goods in the original packaging where possible, including manuals, cables and free gifts that came with the line.
- Drop the parcel at the carrier on the label, or book a pickup. Keep the drop-off receipt until the refund lands.
If you ordered as a guest, use the email address from checkout and the order number on the track order page, then ask support to open the return.
5. What condition the goods should be in
Please try items as you would in a shop. Clothing should be unworn and unwashed, with hygiene seals still attached. Electronics should be complete, with serial-numbered accessories in the box. If a product has been used beyond a reasonable trial we may deduct an amount that reflects the reduced value — we will tell you before we do that.
Please do not write on the product box; stick the label to the outer carton we shipped in, or to your own carton.
6. Refunds
We inspect returns as they are scanned in. In the normal case:
- the product price is refunded in full;
- standard delivery is refunded if you return the whole order, or if the remaining goods would have qualified for free delivery;
- the refund goes to the original card, Klarna agreement or other method within 48 hours of warehouse arrival;
- your bank can take another 3–5 working days to show the credit.
We never charge a restocking fee. We do not issue store credit unless you ask for it. If a coupon was used we refund what you actually paid.
7. Exchanges
We do not run a like-for-like exchange warehouse. The fastest path is to return the original item and place a new order for the size or colour you want. If the new item is more expensive you pay the difference on the new order; if it is cheaper, the return refunds the extra. Support can reserve stock for 24 hours on request.
8. Damaged, wrong or faulty items
If the parcel arrives damaged, take photos of the outer box and the product before you throw anything away, and contact us the same day if you can. We will send a replacement or a prepaid return and a full refund, including delivery.
If an item is dead on arrival, not as described, or develops a fault:
- Within 30 days you can reject it and get a full refund (Consumer Rights Act 2015).
- Within 6 months you are entitled to a repair or replacement; if that fails, a refund or price reduction. In the first 6 months it is for us to show the fault was not there at delivery.
- After 6 months you still have rights for a reasonable period, but you may need to show the fault was present at delivery.
Do not attempt your own repair on electronics if that would void a manufacturer warranty you still want to use — ask us first.
9. What cannot be returned as a change of mind
The 7-day store policy and the 14-day cancellation right do not apply to:
- sealed cosmetics, toiletries or health products once the hygiene seal is broken;
- earrings and similar intimate jewellery for hygiene reasons, once unsealed;
- perishable goods and flowers;
- personalised or made-to-order items, unless they are faulty;
- digital content once you have started downloading it, after you agreed to lose the cancellation right;
- gift cards;
- items that have been clearly used beyond a trial and cannot be resold (we will explain any deduction).
These exceptions never take away your rights if the product is faulty or misdescribed.
10. Return postage
Change-of-mind returns inside the United Kingdom and the EU countries we ship to use the prepaid label in the box — you pay nothing. If you have lost the label, ask support for a replacement; do not pay a counter price without talking to us, because we cannot always reimburse an unauthorised carrier.
If you return from an address we do not serve, you may need to post at your own cost unless the item is faulty. We will confirm this before you send.
11. Your legal rights
Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Those rights sit on top of this policy. This page is a summary, not legal advice. UK shoppers can read more at Citizens Advice or GOV.UK consumer pages.
