Local Price Radar is how ALIGC prices everyday goods. Every morning we compare listed prices in 240 cities. If you still find the same product cheaper nearby after you buy, we do not just match it — we refund the difference and add a voucher of the same amount.

1. How Local Price Radar works

Each product page shows the lowest comparable local price we measured for your city that morning, and the gap to our price. The scan covers staffed retailers and major online shops that offer pickup or delivery to that city — currently 4.2 million price points across 240 European cities, refreshed overnight.

The radar is a comparison, not a live stock feed from those shops. A local store may sell out, change a shelf sticker or run a one-hour till promotion after our scan. That is why we still give you a 14-day claim window after purchase.

2. How to claim

  1. Buy the item on ALIGC as usual.
  2. Within 14 days of delivery, find the same product cheaper from a qualifying retailer within 25 km of the delivery postcode (or the city you shopped in).
  3. Send the order number plus a photo of the shelf ticket, a dated till receipt, or a product-page screenshot that shows the price, date and shop. Use the contact form or support@aligc.com.
  4. We check the claim on a working day. If it is valid we refund the difference to your original payment method and email a voucher equal to that difference.

You do not need to buy the cheaper item. The promise is about the price we should have beaten, not about sending you to another till.

3. What counts as “the same product”

  • Same brand, model name and core specification (capacity, colour, pack size).
  • New, unused, sold by a retailer to the public — not a private listing.
  • Price available to anyone walking in or visiting the site, without a staff discount, student card, cashback app or bank-offer stacking.
  • The cheaper price must be current when you submit the claim, or dated on a receipt from after you ordered on ALIGC.

Bundle deals only qualify if we sold the same bundle. A kettle that is cheaper because it is sold without the filter we include is not the same product.

4. What the promise does not cover

  • Pricing errors so obvious that a reasonable shopper would know they are mistakes (ours or theirs).
  • Trade-only, wholesale, or membership-club prices (unless we also required the same membership).
  • Marketplace third-party sellers with no returns address in the UK or EU.
  • Refurbished, ex-display, damaged or grey-import stock compared with our new item.
  • Prices in a different currency converted at a tourist rate.
  • Delivery charges on the other shop, unless we also charged delivery and you are comparing delivered-to-door totals.
  • Claims opened more than 14 days after delivery, or after the item has been returned for a refund.

5. How we pay you

The difference is refunded to the card or Klarna plan you used. The matching voucher is emailed as a single-use code, valid 90 days, on anything except gift cards. Vouchers are not cash and cannot be sold. If the cheaper price is only a few cents below ours we still honour it — there is no minimum gap.

We may ask for a clearer photo if a receipt is unreadable. We will not ask you to drive back to the shop. If we refuse a claim we explain why in writing so you can reply with extra evidence.

6. Fair use

The promise is for consumers buying for their own household. Repeated claims that look like commercial arbitrage, edited screenshots, or a pattern of buying only to claim may be declined and can lead to account review. One valid claim per order line is enough — you cannot claim twice on the same item.

Daniel Hughes’ marketing team owns the public wording of the promise; Sophie Williams’ support team owns the decision on each claim. Questions: support@aligc.com.
